CropConnect Conference 2014 Registration Now Open

Winnipeg, Manitoba, November 4, 2013 – Registration for the 2014 CropConnect Conference is now open on the CropConnect website. The conference is scheduled for February 18 & 19, 2014 at the Victoria Inn Hotel and Convention Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The event will feature a variety of sessions on agronomy, succession planning, marketing, the science of agriculture and more. Attendees will be treated to thought provoking and entertaining presentations from speakers like Environmentalist and Author Mark Lynas and Economist, Don Reynolds. A complete outline of keynote and session speakers can be found on the event website.

Early-bird registration is open from November 4th – January 17th and is set at $75/day. The registration fee increases to $100/day on January 18th. Tickets to the banquet featuring Dennis Hull on February 18th are $30/person. Both registration to the event and tickets to the banquet are limited so we encourage people to secure their spots early. Attendance to the Annual General Meetings of all five commodity groups is free. Registration can be found on-line at

The five commodity groups involved in organizing the event feel that this new conference is of exceptional quality. “We’ve brought in some high-caliber speakers to present on topics valuable to producers,” shares Kyle Friesen, chair of Manitoba Pulse Growers Association. “This conference offers a great opportunity for producers to improve on-farm methods and business management skills.”

In addition to gathering information to help producers’ bottom line, young farmers’ management training credits will be available for participating producers on all sessions as well as Certified Crop Advisor and Certified Crop Science Consultant credits.

The five commodity groups hosting the conference have provided some funding using their respective check-off dollars, and the conference is currently obtaining major sponsorship contributions from industry members. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor or having a tradeshow booth, opportunities are still available on our website.
